Tips for Selling

Make sure that your items are CLEAN and in good condition. Clearly label each item with price and size. It also helps to sort your clothing by size. Adding a sign that states what size and gender clothing you have at your table will help attract the proper shoppers.

Arrive early so you have plenty of time to set up and organize your table. Pricing your items at home and transporting them in easy to carry containers will help you to set up your table quicker.

Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Make sure you eat something before the sale. There will also be water and baked goods available for sale.

If you have a rack, make sure that it is secure so it won’t fall over if the items are pushed from one end of it to the other by buyers.

Two persons are permitted at each table and this is recommended as the first hour of the sale can be very busy. This is also helpful during the pre-sale so that one of you can shop while the other sells your items. Also, during the day you may need to take a quick break. You don't want to leave your table unattended.

Don't forget to bring bags to put the items in that you sell. Also bring plenty of change and one dollar bills. Don’t leave your money accessible to the general public. A hip bag or an apron with pockets is a good idea to keep your money close.
